Revisiting this for locals and a con. I created a mini "Project Management Information System" for this based on Ivan's original network diagram.
Sheet one is a
schedule network diagram; players can view DCs and get a visual of finish-to-start tasks along the path. Skill training requirements are also color-coded. Players can tick off progress themselves. You can make a GM copy and a player copy; simply remove the hidden tasks from PCs and paste them in when they uncover the dungeon and shrine.
Sheet 2 is an attitude tracker for all NPCs, with notes. I left a blank column in case you want to fill in DCs or add them as players figure them out.
Sheet 3 is the data for the GM. First, enter the days in L3. This will fill in the Planned GP spend per day based on the budget and the planned "earned value" for each day the PCs should achieve. As players progress add their Labor spend GP per day in col C and the EV/Day (expressed in Days of Work Complete) in Col H.
The charts on sheet one will auto-update to help players track their cost and schedule baselines (if cost is rising above the blue baseline faster than earned value is, they are in trouble).
